Life Is Strange: Before The Storm's Original Soundtrack Will Be Available 1st of September
Before The Storm, the three episode prequel to episodic teen drama Life Is Strange which follows fan favourite Chloe Price's friendship with the enigmatic Rachel Amber, is just around the corner. Like its predecessor, Before The Storm will no doubt evoke plenty of emotion, and alongside great storytelling and characterisation, music will play a key role in achieving this.
Critically acclaimed British indie band Daughter have signed on to provide 13 original tracks for the game's original score, which will sit alongside selected licensed tracks. Speaking about the experience of writing the score, lead singer Elena Tonra explained: “We loved the story on first read as it centres around realistic female lead characters who are emotional, intelligent, sensitive and badass in equal measure. I think the characters themselves have really inspired the soundscapes we have created. It was a pleasure to be involved."
And it seems Square Enix were also pleased with the end result. So much so that they've decided to release it via Glassnote Records/4AD on 1st September as an album titled Music From Before The Storm. You can stream the first track Burn It Down right now, as well as pre-order the album here.
Episode One of Life is Strange: Before The Storm releases on the 31st of August for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
