Life by You's Early Access Release Delayed for a Few Months
For many, life simulation games have provided countless hours of fun, whether it be because they're busy doing challenge runs, modding their games with tons of silly new features and items, or because they really enjoy building a life within the game and watching it flourish. Life by You is an upcoming Early Access release that'll allow players to explore an open world and live out the life of their dreams.
Unfortunately, Paradox Tectonic and Paradox Interactive have had to delay the game for a few months to June 2024. Although it's sad for those looking forward to the game's Early Access, the team released a 5-minute video explaining why they've decided to do this, and it all has to do with them hoping to release a more polished experience.
Rod, the General Manager who appears in the video, goes through some of the points that they'd like to work on. It seems the community has given them a lot of feedback that they want to work the chinks for, such as the clothing layers clipping, the animations feeling a bit dead, and stability, among other complaints. Beyond that, however, he mentions that they want to release a better build mode, more polished UX, and important gameplay refinements, as Paradox hopes to offer a smooth experience. This also includes the modding features.
The last portion of the video touches on how the team feels about the date change and what will happen with pre-orders. For the former, Rod mentions they're very glad to have some more space and time to smooth out the experience before Early Access, and those who pre-ordered Life By You will receive refunds!
We wish the best to the Paradox team, and we're very happy to hear they're giving themselves the time necessary to bring the Early Access experience they envisioned. Stay tuned for more information about Life by You, and watch the video for a more in-depth look!
