Life by You Is Ready for Its Early Access Release

It’s almost time to try out the highly anticipated The Sims competitor, Life by You. Paradox Interactive has announced that the game is ready for its Early Access release, scheduled for the 4th of June 2024. The game previously delayed its March release to ensure the community’s first experience with this new life sim is as smooth and fun as possible, and now it looks like everything is on track for its summer arrival. The extra time has allowed the team to improve gameplay and include visual finishing touches. If you’re excited to try it out, you can currently wishlist it on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

For the uninitiated, Life by You is a sandbox life sim where you can build and customise your humans and environments, tell stories through your characters' lives, and explore an open world. “We’ve created a sandbox where players can tell whatever story they want. From deeply personal, esoteric, or fan fiction, they can live life to the fullest — or break the rules as they see fit!” said Rod Humble, General Manager of Paradox Tectonic.

Life by You’s community is incredibly excited to see if the game is a worthwhile contender in the life sim genre, which The Sims has comfortably reigned over for years now. Will its fully customisable world, creative tools, third-person mode, and visuals captivate long-time Sims fans? We’ll have to find out in June!

Life by You will be available in Early Access on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Paradox Interactive anticipates that the game will be in Early Access for at least 12 months
