LEGO Batman 3 Announced

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham with the release of its first trailer.

The game clearly does step beyond Gotham in this trailer, which launches the Dark Knight and the Justice League into space. Batman teams up with a range of DC heroes to stop the Brainiac, who has harnessed the power of the Lantern rings to shrink the Earth down as part of his collection of cities from across the universe. 

Players can unlock over 150 DC characters in LEGO Batman 3, including some of LEGO's "big figures" (which have the special ability to move or break heavy objects) like Killer Croc. According to the Warner Bros. press release, the game will also feature "unexpected twists to the classic characters’ personalities" as Brainiac uses his mind control and the power of the Lantern rings on some of DC's finest.

The game is set to release at the beginning of August for huge range of platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation Vita, Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
