Legacy of the Void: Allied Commanders Preview
Legacy of the Void, the upcoming expansion to Starcraft II, is set to receive a new feature called Allied Commanders that give a variety of cooperative experiences.
You can choose to play as one of the leaders in the Starcraft II universe, for now revealed to be Raynor, Kerrigan and Artanis (although there seems to be more). Each of these heroes have their own unique abilities that can be called upon to change the tide of the battle.
These heroes gain levels as you complete missions with them, and can be upgraded to be more effective on the battlefield. With effective teamwork, players can make use of the commanders to challenge even the most daunting mission objectives the game throws at the players.
Missions wise, you will encounter ones that will take you across different worlds and comes with a range of objectives, from annihilation to defense to interrupting supply lines. From the preview, it does seem that the missions will be difficult but there's a choice of difficulty levels. There will be bonus objectives that give much better payouts as well if you are up to the challenge.
With these new campaign challenges coming to the Legacy of the Void, this should make things a lot more interesting for the final Starcraft II expansion!
