Left 4 Dead and Evolve Developer Making New FPS

Turtle Rock Studios are the development team behind the hugely successful FPS Left 4 Dead and the not-quite-so-successful FPS Evolve Stage 2. The developer wasn't keen to unwrap the secret just yet though, saying only that they're working on a "new triple-A game IP for PC and console" at the moment.

We’re focusing on what we do best – heart-pounding moment-to-moment online co-op FPS action.” said Phil Robb, Co-founder of Turtle Rock Studios. “And with Perfect World Entertainment as our partner, we will always make sure that our players come first by listening to them and growing the game based on how they play and interact over what we hope are many years to come. We cannot wait to show them what we have in store.”

The game is set to be published by Perfect World Entertainment, a company generally known for publishing MMORPGs, especially in their native China, where they also distribute some of Valve's games. The new IP that Turtle Rock are working on will be a free to play online game, and we know it will be an FPS, but so far that's all we know. Given the publisher though, we're expecting something aimed at the E-Sports crowd, which has seen explosions in China in recent years.
