Learn the Official Overthrown Release Date with Chaotic New Trailer
The highly anticipated chaotic city builder Overthrown officially has a release date! After being praised by both our preview and receiving the top 50 most-played Steam Next Fest demos, Brimstone and Maximum Entertainment's co-op sandbox title is set for a successful release!
After receiving the power from a soul-stealing crown, you will become the ruler of a Kingdom that desperately needs your help. Embark on the journey either alone or with a group of friends as you set off to build a town, defend it with your supernatural powers, and redecorate by picking up anything (villagers, houses, trees... you know, standard stuff) and throwing them around however — and wherever — you want.
Take a look at the trailer to catch a glimpse of the chaotic gameplay that you'll be able to embark on. Wield ridiculous powers to destroy waves of enemies threatening your citizens' survival and build up the kingdom of your dreams! New to the Early Access version will be fall and winter foliage and military structures!
Overthrown is heading into Early Access to gather community feedback on the active development of the title. Brimstone is anticipating a year of Early Access, though that's a loose number, as the team wants to prioritize receiving player feedback and updating the game properly. The full version isn't expected to differ much more from the current state, looking to have additional content, polishing, and balancing, alongside ending in an overall "improved' state from the current mechanics.
If you're looking forward to play Overthrown, then you'll be able to do so on the 5th of December! The Early Access version is coming to Steam Early Access, Xbox Game Preview, and Xbox Game Pass! Meanwhile, the 1.0 launch will also arrive on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, but that's for when the title manages to reach its full release.
