Learn More About Safe In Our World's First Game Dev Championship!

During the Wired Productions Direct '24, we got to learn a bit about the Safe In Our World's upcoming first Game Dev Championship event! For those who haven't heard of this charity before, the folks behind it are on a mission to bring awareness to the struggles of mental health and get rid of stigma. Safe In Our World believes in the power of videogames to help start a conversation that'll spread knowledge, love, and compassion.

Now, they're inviting game developers to share their stories of struggle in their upcoming Mental Health Game Dev Champions 2024 — a worldwide event that encourages all sorts of ages, skills, and diverse backgrounds to try their hand at making a game. Whether you want to do it solo or in a team, there are categories for all! 

If you're interested, here are some things to keep in mind: entries are only available for aspiring new developers (no existing development teams allowed), and you must be 18. 

Registrations are available now, and game developers have until the 1st of June to register. Check out the trailer for a more in-depth look at what the event is all about!
