Lay-offs hit Gamespot
Parent company CBS Interactive has announced that there has been some shifting of internal resources as part of the company's long-term content and user engagement strategy. Resulting in the loss of a few jobs.
This is in the same week that Crytek has laid off a chunk of people, and displays the joys of financial year end. Former reviewer Carolyn Petit announced her departure on Twitter saying:
Today was my last day at GameSpot. It was a dream to work there, and I'm very proud of the work I did.

CBS owns Giant Bomb, GameFAQs, and onGamers touting GameSpot as streaming 50 million hours of live gaming content every month, with 25 million monthly visitors across its gaming platforms.
As yet, the full extent of the cuts are unknown, but it extends beyond editorial staff.
