Kojima Productions Officially Closed By Konami
Konami has confirmed that Konami Los Angeles Studio, formerly known as Kojima Productions Los Angeles, has officially closed.
In an email to Polygon today, Konami said, "Konami has made the decision to close its Los Angeles Studio, effective immediately, due to the product development resources being restructured into a more centralized unit."
"This facility contributed to the recent Metal Gear Solid games. Konami will continue its operations to support all Metal Gear Solid titles, including the recently launched Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and Metal Gear Online. Metal Gear Online is still scheduled to release for PC Steam in January 2016."
This whole situation has been very enigmatic, and rumours have been circulating the various social networks for a while. Hideo Kojima's career with Konami is still a mystery though. Konami states that he is still an employee, and is simply on vacation.
It's doubtful that this is the last we'll hear of this fiasco, so keep your eyes to GameGrin for updates as they come.

Seriously just serious. Fuuuu Konami. I really hope they at least support MGO3; they have a really good patch list coming. Also I love the fact that they keep saying Kojima is on vacation. Sure...once December hits and he's officially gone everyone will be after him.
