Koei Tecmo Shares Second Trailer for Upcoming Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land

The latest entry to Koei Tecmo's long-standing (and incredibly famous) Atelier franchise is expanding with the release of Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.

Taking control of Yumia Liessfeldt, players will embark on a journey across the continent of Aladiss alongside her group of companions. After the world falls into a cataclysmic event and alchemy becomes taboo, you'll need to head out and unravel the mysteries about what caused it.  

Atelier Yumia returns the signature Atelier synthesising system, alongside the "Resonance Synthesis" that allows you to add ingredients that resonate with one another to create an "Alchemy Core" recipe! Depending on the ingredients, the strength of the resonance will change, giving players all-new recipes and ways to interact with the world's alchemy.

This new entry also seeks to upgrade the combat system, bringing about a few revamped features with intense real-time combat, with skills that change dynamically between ranged or melee depending on your distance from enemies. In contrast to the previous games, players will also be able to change between the characters freely at any time during the fight, and when meeting certain conditions, a "Friend Action" can be performed! In addition to that, unique special moves — named "Maximize Mana Surge" — will be available for each character on top of the "Mana Surge" that can be activated when special conditions are met, bringing a whole new combat style.

Players can embark on the open-world continent of Aladiss to explore and gather materials as they advance the story, but back home, they'll be able to build their bases at will! With the new building feature, you can change the walls, floors, roofs, furniture, and more to make the atelier feel truly yours, or if you're not the creative sort, you can also select from pre-built models to help you out! Increase the comfort level of your atelier, and unlock new bonuses, such as developing the base even more and enhancing the skills of Yumia and her friends!

Or, if you're not feeling like going back out, you can set up camp in the world to continue your journey in the morning! Cook, rest, and head on out with new benefits for the food you are, including buffs to your exploration and combat! You will also be able to get unique character events to learn more about the gang, exclusive to the camping, so you'll want to do it every so often to get to know the cast!

Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Landis set to release on the 21st of March 2025 for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC via Steam, and — for the first time in the franchise's history — Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S!
