King's Bounty II Receives New Release Date

At the recent Epic Games Showcase, 1C Entertainment and Koch Media announced that their upcoming story-based tactics title King's Bounty II has been delayed. Rather than the March release date which was previously envisioned, the game will now release on the 24th August 2021. 

Denis Maltzev, the game's producer, explains the studio's need for additional development time: "we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing and polishing." He goes on to outline how important such balancing is for the game's grand open world, deep tactical combat and non-linear narrative. 

Set in a richly-populated fantasy world, King's Bounty II puts players in control of one of three heroes as they explore the realm of Antara, complete quests, lead armies, meet the world's inhabitants and change its fate forever. Each of the three heroes also has their own unique story, adding yet another layer of depth to the tactical RPG.

King's Bounty II releases on the 24th August 2021 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC (via the Epic Games Store).
