Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX Trailer for E3
In preparation for E3 next week, Square Enix has posted their trailer for Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, its PlayStation port of the second half of the popular series, with a release date.
Kingdom Hearts 2.5 brings together Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix and Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded in a remastered HD collection for the PlayStation 3. The possibility of a second '.5' game was teased at the end of Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (which brought together Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days), when clips of the other three games showed up during the credits.
The release of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 also provides a twofold benefit to Square Enix and Disney. The release of 2.5 will undoubtedly reignited the series' fanbase and keep them active in the lead up to Kingdom Hearts 3 (which was announced last E3), which still has no release date. 1.5 and 2.5 also give new fans a convenient jumping in point for a franchise that is notoriously spread out across six platforms and generations (everything from PlayStation 2 to Gameboy Advance to Nintendo 3DS).
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX will be released for the PlayStation 3 on December 2.
