Kickstarter of Note: STARDROP

STARDROP is an exploration game and a space game. These are both genres that we've seen a decent share of in recent times on Kickstarter, but STARDROP is trying to do something a little bit different with the genre. This isn't a game where you're flying into nothingness or stranded on a lonely planet, but instead you are exploring abandoned spaceships to find out what terrible fate they met, leading to their desolation.

With a Kickstarter campaign in progress aiming for a modest $40,000, the game isn't aiming to be a vast world with millions of planets, but it is hoping to bring a strong open-ended story to a genre populated with hundreds of procedurally generated wastelands. There's a demo on the campaign too, so if the above gameplay has your interest piqued, why not give it a spin? We did, and our editor was rather pleased by it.
