Kick Flips And Flip Kicks In The New HELSKATE Gameplay Trailer

Remember Tony Hawk's Skateboarding (Pro Skater outside of the UK), the game that introduced a generation to the art of ollies, kick-flips, and grinds? Well, have you ever imagined what that would look like if it had a combat element and was set in the Underworld? No? Well, wonder no longer! HELSKATE, the upcoming skateboarding action roguelike from Phantom Coast, is everything described and more, as seen in their new gameplay trailer!

In HELSKATE, you take on the role of Anton Falcon, and fight through Verthime, slaying any beast you come across and doing sick tricks while you're at it! The game combines the fast-paced fun of skateboarding arcade games and adds a pinch of combat to keep it interesting! Do tricks to power up your attacks, launch yourself at any nearby foe, and lay into them with unique weapons, gear, and combos. If you happen to take a mortal blow, upgrade your skills and come back stronger! Mall jail sucks though. Skate, fight, improve, and ascend until you can take on the God of Vert Ramp or even the Ancient God of Skating itself!
