Just Cause 3 Gets A Story Trailer

Just Cause is a great franchise, there's no doubt about it. It's silly, explosive, hugely entertaining sandbox fun. When it comes to the story though, there isn't much to it. It's usually about a generic dictator, who has made life hell for the citizens of whichever country the game is set in, and Rico Rodriguez steps in to clean the place up. And Just Cause 3 is no different, as the new trailer shows.

This time, the antagonist is General Di Ravello and his corrupt military. They have mined a rare element called Bavarium, and are using it as a powerful explosive, and an almost endless energy supply. They have the land of Medici in their back pockets, and Rico wants to liberate it, as he is one to do. He joins up with the local rebels and starts a mission to restore peace to the beautiful islands.

So it's not going to win any awards for the story. It's basic, it's been done before, but it doesn't even matter. Just Cause is about causing havoc, pulling off insane stunts and just having a good time, and this game is going to let you do that like never before.

Just Cause 3 is set to launch for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 1st December.
