Jun Furutani Talks DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO will soon be upon us, but that hasn't discouraged Bandai Namco from releasing one final announcement trailer before the game releases on the 11th of October.

The video, helmed by the game's producer: Jun Furutani, focuses primarily on playable character options and available game modes.

Some playable characters (and the properties they're from) include:

• DRAGON BALL SUPER: Cabba, Cabba Super Saiyan, Cabba Super Saiyan 2, Frost, Toppo, and Frieza Force Soldier
• DRAGON BALL Z: Broly – The Legendary Super Saiyan: Broly (Z), Broly (Z) Super Saiyan, and Broly (Z) Legendary Super Saiyan
• DRAGON BALL Z: Cooler’s Revenge and DRAGON BALL Z: The Return of Cooler : Cooler, Cooler Final Form, and Metal Cooler
• DRAGON BALL Z: Super Android 13: Android 13 and Fusion Android 13
• DRAGON BALL Z: Dead Zone: Super Garlic Jr.
• DRAGON BALL Z: The World’s Strongest: Dr. Wheelo
• DRAGON BALL Z: Lord Slug: Lord Slug and Lord Slug Giant Form
• DRAGON BALL Z: Tree of Might: Turles

While gameplay mechanics includes:

• Episode Battle: A single-player mode where the player is given eight icon characters to choose from, and the ability to recreate famous battles from the anime. However, there are also twists that player is encouraged to explore, which extend beyond what they might already understand about the DRAGON BALL series.
• Custom Battle: This mode allows players to create their own scenarios, including pre- and end-fight cutscenes and title cards, using an in-game editing tool. Once completed, your creations can also be shared.
• Bonus Battle: This is a sub-option within "Custom Battle". And using the same creativity free to players, the development team has put together 30 unique scenarios — some of which they claim carry serious skill requirements to complete — to learn and practise with, and more importantly: enjoy.

Also, keep in mind that Pre-orders of the Digital and Ultimate Edition's will come with three-day early access, which is scheduled to begin on the 7th of October at 23:00 BST. A pre-order will also net you a new playable character: DRAGON BALL DAIMA anime, Goku (Mini)
