Jam City Wants You To Vote
Many companies get berated for putting politics in their games, but that hasn't stopped Jam City from literally bringing the democratic process to four of their titles. Teaming up with When We All Vote, a nonpartisan non-profit, players of Cookie Jam, Cookie Jam Blast, Panda Pop and Genies & Gems will receive a reminder to exercise their right to vote and register for the upcoming US midterm elections during the first week of October.
These messages are intended to hit a wide audience, with 95% of Americans owning a smartphone, with an average of 55 minutes per day spent playing mobile games. "Jam City has a unique opportunity to serve the millions of people that play our games each day on their mobile device, by connecting them with vital voter registration resources." explains Jam City CEO Chris DeWolfe. "We’re excited to partner with this esteemed organization and ‘mobilize’ the mobile games audience to make their voice heard in the midterm elections.”
