It's Official — God of War: Ragnarök is Making its Way to PC
It's been six years since the release of God of War (2018), and fans have been anxious to experience the sequel ever since. In 2022, Ragnarök made its PlayStation 5 debut, though at that time, the original had already made its way to Steam PC, and many decided to hold on until it released there...
...and the wait is over. Announced on the PlayStation Direct on the 30th of May 2024, PlayStation announced the official release date for God of War Ragnarök PC, including all of the features that it will have for the PC. You'll be able to take full advantage of everything from unlocked FPS to super ultrawide resolutions, video-enhancing technology, and much more.
This will also come with the Valhalla DLC, which is an epilogue that came out just a few months ago. What's interesting is that this is the second title to break the exclusivity lineup that Sony had previously setout, as God of War Ragnarök released just on the 9th of November 2022, less than two years ago, and it's a far cry from the three-year window they had previously set. This is also the second title to follow this pattern, with Horizon Forbidden Westalso having released at the two-year window. Begging the question: does this mean that Sony is seeing more worth on Steam PC releases, and could we see things like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC as early as next year? The data seems to point to yes, but at this point, that's all just speculation.
Partake in the epic journey as Kratos and fight your way through the Norse apocalypse when the game releases on PC on the 19th of September 2024.
