Insurgency: Sandstorm Gets First Major Content Update

The immersive first-person shooter title Insurgency: Sandstorm from developer New World Interactive has received  it's first major content update. 

In the new update comes a new 'Arcade' playlist that will feature rotating game modes that mix up the gameplay of Insurgency: Sandstorm. The first of these is team deathmatch which gives player more starting supply and a much shorter respawn time. To make the fighting even more fun the developers have added five new weapons including the MP5A2 and MP5A5, which is a low caliber weapon ideal for close quarters combat. 

Elsewhere in the update players can look forward to reworked flash grenades along with plenty of new cosmetics. Performance, quality of life, and numerous bug fixes are also included in the update which lays the foundations for future updates for the title. 

New World Interactive released a short video going in depth about the new updates which you can view above. On top of this free update, the team also announced that 500,000 copies of Insurgency: Sandstorm have been sold since release. 

Insurgency: Sandstorm is available now on PC and is planned to release on consoles later this year.
