Infernum Productions file for Bankruptcy

Infernum Productions, the publishers of Hazard Ops, Brickforce and Dragon's Prophet have filed for bankruptcy today in an effort to stave off the after effects of lower than expected financial results from the first quarter of the year.

 As reported on gamesindustry.biz and the official Dragon's Prophet forum the company expects the procedings to be concluded by March 2015 with the number of employees being slashed from 42 to 29.

German insolvency expert Thomas Illy, in charge of the financial restructuring, stated he was optimistic that Infernum Productions AG would overcome this in a positive way and business operations could continue. Under the supervision of Mr. RA Christian Graf Brockdorff the board will continue to run things as normal while they look for further investors.

Infernum CEO Andreas Weidenhaupt was quoted as saying

We have a positive outlook on the future as our in-house management offers the restructuring within the insolvency plan new opportunities Our goal is very clear, to maintain the operation of our games upright and continue to provide our community a nice game experience.

It has to be mentioned, that in the official announcement on the restructuring the representative of Infernum posting on the forum mentioned that fewer than 10 of the player-base in actuality spend money on the in game stores. Something that cannot have helped this unhappy state of affairs.

The restructuring of the company commences  on the 1st of December.
