Industry Giant 2 Being Re-Released on Consoles
Well, this is unexpected. 2002 PC business simulator Industry Giant 2 is getting a rerelease. The game was originally created and published by the now-defunct JoWood Entertainment, following up the 1997 original. 14 years on, after acquiring the title from THQ Nordic who had bought it (along with every other defunct IP in the world) the game is being wiped off with an old rag for a console release in 2016 by UIEG Entertainment, who already re-published the game on Steam last year.
You start the game in 1900 with little money but bid ideas. You have to build your empire from scratch, deciding on what materials and products to use, what industry to go into and how to trade. With stock market crashes, economic booms and busts and oil crises to worry about along the way, it'll be a turbulent one, but it might just be one that gets you to the US presidency. OK, that last part won't happen. The game is from 2002, but maybe it'll come in an expansion. We can but hope.
