IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow Pre-Order is available now
1C Game Studios has announced the availability of the IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow and is currently accepting pre-orders for the Premium Edition on its site. Continuing in the same vein as IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad, this next iteration of the IL-2 Sturmovik series focuses on the air battles centered around Moscow from October 1941 to April 1942.
IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Moscow will include several planes with realistic flight models and beautifully rendered cockpits faithfully recreated by the developers, from Bf 109 E-7, Bf 109 F-2, I-16 Type 24, MiG-3, Il-2 Model 1941, Bf 110 E-2, Pe-2 Series 35 to Ju 88 A-4. Special Aircraft this time round will be the MC.202 Series 8 and P-40 E-1 (lend-lease).
As usual, there will be two editions: Standard and Premium. The Premium Edition gives access to aircraft modifications from the beginning and Special Aircraft; the Standard Edition allows players to unlock aircraft modifications through gameplay progress, while the Special Aircraft will be available for purchase in store after launch.
Owners of Battle of Stalingrad (BOS) who are pre-ordering Battle of Moscow (BOM) will be given early access to some of the new content, subject to the edition they buy on their user account with BOS activated. Premium BOM buyers will have access to the new aircraft by July 2015, with Standard BOM buyers by October 2015 in Quick Mission Builder and Multiplayer modes.
The rest of the content, such as the BOM map and campaign, will be available in Q1 2016. Players who don’t already own BOS will have BOM available in Q1 2016 as well.
Pre-ordering IL-2: Battle of Moscow Premium Edition is now available here on the IL-2 site at US$79.99 using your user account (whether you have your BOS activated on Steam or on-site).
The new (and early access) content from BOM will be available from one GUI and game client, allowing content from both BOM and BOS titles to be used on all maps, while content in the campaigns will remain specific to each title.
When BOM is released on Steam, players will be allowed to deactivate the key on their site and re-activate it in the Steam game library without losing the early access progress.
