IGN Expo 2022: Controversial Stardew Valley-Inspired Game Super Zoo Story Releases New Trailer

Publisher Crytivo released a new trailer for upcoming indie open world zoo manager Super Zoo Story at IGN Expo 2022 on 10th June. Super Zoo Story is expected to release on PlayStation, Nintendo, and Xbox consoles as well as PC in 2023.

Super Zoo Story is a life simulator and zoo manager with role-playing game-like elements and a pixel art style. The game has faced controversy in the past for its similarity, both in story and assets, to 2016 indie hit Stardew Valley, which Super Zoo Story openly states it takes inspiration from. Following the rise of controversy, the developers of the game released an apology stating that they would “redesign any and all assets that might seem too similar to Stardew Valley.”

Super Zoo Story is set to release across PlayStation and Xbox consoles, as well as Nintendo Switch and PC in 2023.
