Hyrule Warriors Coming to 3DS

Hyrule Warriors Coming to 3DS

Owners of Nintendo's 3DS are set to get a version of the Koei Tecmo's Warriors series spin off, Hyrule Warriors. Dubbed Hyrule Warrior Legends, this expanded version exclusive to the 3DS will feature a number of additional features and story lines added in especially for this mobile version of the epic brawler. Included in the mix is a new ability to command multiple characters on the battlefield, and switch seamlessly between up to 4 different Hyruleans, as well as Amiibo support. It's due to hit these shores on the 24th March.

Another addition comes in the form of My Fairy Mode. This time around, when players explore Adventure Mode there are fairies to be found, each of whom can be levelled up to bestow additional benefits in battle across all modes. If Navi was a Tamagotchi, this is how it would work. By feeding them and dressing them in new costumes, players can increase their trust, change their personality traits, or strengthen their Fairy Magic. These fairies can be rented to friends through Local Play, allowing them to take advantage of their skills for up to 24 hours.

The game also comes with two new exclusive stories: a four-chapter epilogue based on The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, and a five-chapter story based on series newcomer Linkle, a dual-crossbow-wielding Cucco farmer who believes her heirloom compass means that she’s destined for greater things. Linkle isn’t the only new addition to the series either, as Toon Link, Tetra, King Daphnes and Skull Kid have all been added for the 3DS version. Owners of the original Wii U game will be able to incorporate the new characters in the game's bigger brother by way of a download code included in the box.
