How to Link Marvel Rivals to Twitch to Earn Drops?
NetEase is starting to accrue a reputation for creating Twitch Drops events back-to-back-to-back. Beginning in Season 0 and heading strong into Season 1 (and beyond!), Marvel Rivals has had an ongoing Twitch Drops event, and the team isn't showing any signs of stopping.
If you're looking to learn how to connect to your Twitch, then we've got you covered! Here's what you need to know:
The first part of the process is to connect your Marvel Rivals account to your desired Twitch account. The easiest way to accomplish this is by going to the official Marvel Rivals site, finding the Twitch Drops section (or following this link), and following the three-step guide that'll let you know what to do.
Here are the steps:
- Log in to your Marvel Rivals account on the official website. This will prompt you to choose between Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and NetEase Games account.
- Log in to Twitch through the Marvel Rivals site.
- Watch the live stream.
Most of it is done pretty much automatically, especially if you do it through a browser that has the accounts ready and set up. Once done, you can begin watching the Twitch streams to earn rewards — qualifying Twitch streams have the tag "DropsEnabled", letting you know which ones will actually work towards increasing your watch total.
Here's a tip, though: if you don't like watching livestreams, you can leave it running in the background instead. If the sound is bothering you, make sure that you do not mute the Twitch player, but instead, you mute the tab; you can do this by right-clicking on the tab and selecting "Mute tab" (or your browser's equivalent).
If you mute the player, your progress will be halted because Twitch will no longer count you as a viewer on the stream, and thus, you will not be actively accruing hours. Muting the tab, however, is untraceable, and it gives you the capability to leave it running in the background, especially for the really long Twitch Drops that NetEase sometimes does (thanks, "watch four hours").
