Hitman GO - Upcoming Hitman Game For Mobile

Announced on the Hitman blog by Square Enix Montréal, rather than Io-Interactive, it turns out that the franchise will not be restricted to the home and office for much longer.

Conceived as a turn-based strategy game akin to Final Fantasy Tactics, Hitman GO will be coming to smartphones and tablets not as a sequel to Hitman Absolution, but as just another take on the Hitman series.  Like how Metal Gear Acid isn't a sequel to Metal Gear Solid.

Hitman GO is a turn-based strategy game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces. You will strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies and take out your target or infiltrate well-guarded locations. You really have to think about each move and all the Hitman tools of the trade you would expect are included; disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even 47’s iconic Silverballers.

It is apparently almost ready for launch, and from what they say it appears they will be sending out beta copies for testing in coming weeks.
