Hasbro and World of Tanks: Modern Armor Partner Together for New World of Tanks G.I. JOE Season
World of Tanks: Modern Armor launched a new 1980s G.I. JOE themed season in partnership with Hasbro on 29th June. The season, known as World of Tanks: Modern Armor: G.I. JOE, lets players play as the G.I. JOE mission force or as the evil organization Cobra in one hundred levels of new content.
Released on 27th April earlier this year, World of Tanks: Modern Armor is a free-to-play online multiplayer game that features authentic 20th-century era tanks and is an enhanced console update to the original game World of Tanks. Some features included in World of Tanks: Modern Armor are new maps, eras, items, and a Cold War mode.
“Following the release of Modern Armor, we wanted to add on to the excitement this summer by launching content based on the classic G.I. JOE franchise,” said World of Tanks: Modern Armor creative director TJ Wagner. “With such a fitting theme, our studio worked hard to integrate iconic tanks such as the MOBAT and H.I.S.S. and we look forward to releasing more G.I. JOE content as this season progresses!”
World of Tanks: Modern Armor: G.I. JOE includes 100 levels, new missions and challenges, and complimentary rewards, such as in-game currency, key cards, the T-54 First Prototype tank, and two Cobra themed skins. Season Pass holders will have access to more challenges and rewards, including the G.I. JOE MOBAT tank. Ultimate Season Pass holders will have access to all of that and will be given the Cobra H.I.S.S. tank and commanders.
World of Tanks: Modern Armor: G.I. JOE is available now until 23rd August this year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
