Halo Infinite Lead Producer Has Left The Studio
Halo Infinite is planned to be the big launch title for the next generation Xbox, but multiple key members leaving developer 343 Industries has left some fans speculating on the development process as a whole. Back in August, Halo Infinite’s creative director Tim Longo left the studio midway through the game’s development, and now Mary Olsen has also left according to her LinkedIn profile, leading to some major concerns within the fanbase.
However, 343 Industries’ community manager John Junyszek took to reddit in an attempt to ease concerns. He clarified in the post that “there is no creative dilemma inside the studio, and there’s no writing on the walls.” He also reassured “the entire Halo Infinite team is rallying behind the game and is working hard to make sure we can execute on its vision.”
Olsen is now at independent studio Midwinter Entertainment, which is currently working on an upcoming third-person shooter titled Scavengers. Halo Infinite’s development appears to still be going strong, with a Holiday 2020 release date for both Xbox One and the upcoming Xbox Scarlett.
