Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta Begins & Special Editions Announced

Anyone who bought Halo: The Master Chief Collection, or received it for Christmas, can now play the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta.

From 29th December through the 18th January, players can participate in 4v4 player arena matches.

Microsoft also announced the Limited and Collector's Editions, as well as what they entail:

Standard Edition for $59.99 – Halo 5: Guardians plus an exclusive poster1, only available to those who pre-order.

Limited Edition for $99.99 – Everything in the Standard Edition plus new digital content to enhance Spartan combat and exclusive items wrapped in a uniquely designed steel book.

Limited Collector’s Edition for $249.99 – Everything in the Limited Edition as well as additional content such as a commemorative numbered statue designed by 343 Industries. More details on the design to be shared at a later date.

You can preorder over at this site, though Microsoft have catered it only for North American consumers.

They've also stated that anything unlocked in The Master Chief Collection will carry over to Halo 5 when it is released late next year.
