H1Z1: Battle Royale Officially Launches August on PS4
Daybreak Games’ H1Z1: Battle Royale, is coming out of open beta, and will officially release on 7th August for the PS4 as a free-to-play title.
Daybreak will also be adding in a few new features and a bunch of in-game content to H1Z1. These include some new weapons, a new vehicle and a season pass - as is customary with all battle royale games these days - called the “Battle Pass”.
The weapons included in the launch update are the new RPG launcher, which provides an explosive option for players, and the new SOCOM semi-automatic sniper rifle equipped with a 4x scope for long range combat.
Another significant addition that’s sure to change up the way players play is the new vehicle: the ARV. The ARV is a Humvee style personnel carrier which fits a full squad of five and includes a hatch on top for a player to shoot out from.
H1Z1’s Battle Pass Season 1 will be available at launch and includes three reward tracks. Free, premium, and one for PS Plus subscribers. Players unlock new cosmetic items and in-game currency for each track as they earn XP, with a total of 30 rewards available across all three tracks.
Daybreak is also introducing two new cosmetic bundles, the Viper Starter bundle and the Hardline Deluxe bundle, which allows players to further customise their avatars before jumping into the action.
In addition to the new content, some minor changes are being made to help balance out gameplay, weapon damage and availability, which can be found here.
