GTA Online Capture Update Information

Last week we posted up a general update for Rockstar's GTA Online which detailed that there would be a new job, Capture. Well, it's now live and ready for you to play with! Here's what you can expect from the free addition.

Capture is a team-based mode which puts a GTA spin on the classic capture the flag game mode. Strategy plays a huge part in this game mode as you run decoys, set traps and place obstacles to ensure your enemies don't get close to your goods. You can play Capture across four different game modes: Raid, Hold, GTA and Contend.

Raid sees you fighting your way into the opposing teams base to steal a package. You then have to deliver said package back to your base to score points. There are two maps for Raid which are 'Beachin' and 'Wargames'.

Hold has the teams collecting and storing as many packages as possible in their base. Packages can be found in the map or stolen from the other team's base. One map accompanies Hold which is 'Block Party'.

In GTA mode, players have to steal target vehicles located all around the map and bring them back to their base. Much like Hold, you then have to defend these vehicles in your base. Two maps can be played in GTA mode which are 'My Maibatsu' and 'Field of Screams'.

Last but not least is Contend in which there is only one package placed in the middle of the map. Teams have to fight over it and bring the package back to their base. Once there, the package respawns in the middle of the map. 'Salty Snatch' is the only map this can be played on.
