Greylock Studio Brings Severed Steel Update to All Console Versions
The Rogue Steel update has officially released for all console versions of Severed Steel, an intensely face-paced FPS developed by Greylock Studio. The update first launched on PC in October 2022, and console players can now enjoy the new game mode, levels, and weapons it has to offer. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 Severed Steel players will also enjoy access to gyro controls.
Along with new weapons, modified enemy types, and cosmetic skins to unlock, the update brings a new cannon mode called Cutting Beam and eight new exclusive Rogue Steel levels. The new Rogue Steel mode features roguelite elements. As you run through several random levels, you’ll select cards that will affect the rest of your run with their unique effects like improved accuracy, increased cannon ammo, and super wall runs, to name a few. Cards don’t always provide a beneficial effect though, and you’ll be able to choose negative status effects that give you a bonus score multiplier.
Severed Steel and the Rogue Steel update are available on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
