Grand Theft Auto V Has Shipped 45 Million Copies

In a call to investors highlighting the results of the third quarter of the financial year, Grand Theft Auto V publishers Take-Two interactive have confirmed that the game has shipped 45 million copies*. 

Despite being released on PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013,  the report shows that the game has continued to flourish on both PS4 and Xbox One, shipping 10 million copies in just two months. The PC version will be available on the 24th March and will be expected to add significantly to the total sales. 

Updates are still coming to Grand Theft Auto V thick and fast including the anticipated online feature Heists which is expected to go live some point in early 2015.

Grand Theft Auto V was released in September 2013 and continues to be the most successful addition to the series.
