Graffiti Comes to Counter Strike: Global Offensive

With a distinct lack of hats, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players have only so many ways to express their individuality. The game will soon be getting a new option for expression though, with graffiti coming into the game as an additional option.

This graffiti can be used to decorate surfaces in game, potentially to leave markers to aid your teammates, or just to leave a recognisable symbol behind to taunt your foes. One design can be placed per round and it lasts for 7 minutes, slowly degrading to nothingness the longer it is left.

The graffiti patterns come as weekly drops for ranking up or they can be purchased either from the Steam Market as players trade their drops, or Graffiti Boxes featuring art created by Steam Community Artists can be purchased. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these Community Graffiti Boxes is shared among the community artists.

The patterns are no permanent like hats though, with a 50 use limit. If you want to keep using the same graffiti, then you'll need to keep yourself stocked up on it. Check out the FAQ on Steam for more details.
