Goodgame to Aid Reforestation with Latest Big Farm Update
Developers of Big Farm: Mobile Harvest Goodgame studios have partnered with charity One Tree Planted with their latest in-game event Big Farm Forest, which sees players collecting tree saplings on their farms. For every "truck load" of saplings the community collects, Goodgame and One Tree Planted will plant real tress in California. The state was badly hit by forest fires earlier this year, but Goodgame and One Tree Planted hope to plant up to 5000 new trees in Spring 2019 in an effort to reforest the affected areas.
“We are very excited about this event and how we can collaborate with our players to help our environment” says Simon Andrews, who heads the studio responsible for the game. “Our players love taking care of their farms, now we will reward their efforts by planting trees in areas that really need them!” The event starts today and runs for a week, and can be played on Android and iOS devices.

What a lovely thing to do, helping save the environment with a game :)
I hear deforestation in the Brazillian rainforest is so bad now that all that's left is a strip of trees down the middle.

I think you're confusing areas there, you're thinking of the deforestation around Gatwick to make room for their new Landing Strip, the Brazilian rain forest is stripped bare!
