GOG Is Putting Its Stamp On Gaming With the GOG Preservation Program

Good Old Games, or GOG for short, was created about 16 years ago with the sole mission of preserving games and keeping them available to gamers without the hassle of protection systems without DRM. As part of its raison d'être, GOG has also spearheaded the restoration of classic titles, such as Diablo and Resident Evil, making sure these almost-forgotten titles still work on modern PCs! As the restoration of these titles has been successful, GOG has decided to unveil the new GOG Preservation Program, which includes the re-release of a hundred titles with updated or quality-tested builds.

Identified by the new GOG Preservation Program stamp of approval, games included in the program will be maintained and kept compatible with new systems, making sure cornerstones of gaming history are never forgotten under the march of technological advancement!

With more games being added to the program as they become ready, GOG has set its sights on reducing the number of games inaccessible to modern gamers from the current 87% to zero.
