Glitchpunk to Make First Appearance at the Steam Game Festival
Recently announced open world title Glitchpunk fuses the retro stylings of early Grand Theft Auto titles with the electric energy characteristic of the cyberpunk genre. It's a complex game with quests, cybernetic upgrades, a variety of factions and a branching narrative which isn't afraid to explore mature themes central to its genre. If you want to check it out, you're in luck. Developer Dark Lord has revealed that Glitchpunk will make its first playable appearance at the Steam Game Festival: February Edition before launching on Steam Early Access "in the first half of 2021".
Glitchpunk sends players, as an android beginning to fight their programming, through the grimiest parts of a dystopian city tainted by the gangs, governments and megacorporations that dominate. Speed through the streets in a variety of vehicles, pulverise your foes with an arsenal of weapons and even utilise your hackings skills to control the minds and devices of those around you. You'll need to do it all to survive and forge a path for yourself with your newfound android freedom.
The Steam Game Festival: February Edition will run from the 3rd - 9th February 2021, featuring more than 500 playable demos for upcoming titles, developer livestreams and Q&As.
Glitchpunk releases on Steam Early Access in the first half of 2021.
