Gigantic Announcement Trailer

In a move that several recently announced games have done, Gigantic is a "team action game", which is a new way of saying "It's a multiplayer online game".

Not to take anything away from Gigantic, which is bringing something a little unique to the genre. Gigantic guardian monsters that join you in combat.

It is still in pre-alpha, but Motiga have a sign up for alpha testers, as well as information about five of the eight player characters on their site.

You join with three teammates and try to take out the opposing team's guardian while they try to do the same to yours. The game doesn't seem to have a set period, as there are bows and arrows as well as gatling guns and strange chemicals, though the video does show us that it is likely an FPS. Gigantic comes from James Phinney, the lead designer of State of Decay among others, so we have high hopes for this.
