Get Post-Apocalyptic in Far Cry New Dawn

Joseph Seed warned the player all throughout Far Cry 5 that the end times were coming - in Far Cry New Dawn you see that they have arrived.

Ubisoft have announced the next title in the Far Cry franchise, and it has a few familiar flavours. First of all, it's a direct, standalone, sequel to Far Cry 5. Secondly, it doesn't take place in the "modern" era and reuses a map, much like Far Cry Primal before it.

Set 17 years after a nuclear catastrophe, Hope County has been transformed. Quite unlike the Fallout franchise, Hope County has lucious vegetation and what appears to be quite normal wildlife - for the most part. However, the world isn't at peace, as the Highwaymen and their leaders The Twins, Mickey and Lou, seek to take everything for themselves.

Working out of the stronghold of Prosperity, home of the Survivors, you'll seek to bring peace back to Hope County. You will also be able to go on Expeditions, special missions set in locations from across the USA, such as wetlands and canyons, where you'll have to get in and grab a package before making a quick escape.

Far Cry New Dawn is coming to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on 15th February 2019.
