Gearbox Announce Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour
The king is back, so start to hail him as you once hailed him before. Dispensing bubblegum and ass-kickery (sans bubblegum) with a wide variety of weaponry and boots-to-the-head, Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is coming to a console near you soon.
As Duke Nukem 3D looks set to become available on more devices than Doom (no small feat), know that it at least is coming with new never-before-seen features and levels!
With eight brand new levels created by the original developers (Allen Blum III and Richard “Levelord” Gray), new music by the original sound designer (Lee Jackson) and new vocals by Duke Nukem himself (Jon St. John), it is topped off with being able to listen to the (original) developer commentary whilst you play!
The press release also says this, though the video above doesn't demonstrate it - though it's sure to come in another trailer:
Play the game using the original 1996 graphics engine or toggle in real time to play with the original content rendered at high fidelity and blistering frame rate using Gearbox’s all-new “True3D Rendering” mode
Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour is due out on 11th October for PlayStation 4, Xbox One,Windows PC via Steam for £14.99 / $19.99.

I'm actually quite excited to play this, Duke Nukem 3D is still a lot of fun to play through so a new episode by the original folk as well as new music is enough for me to be onboard. Hopefully they channel the inappropriate 80s hero Duke from 3D rather than the grotty sex pest Duke from Forever in his new lines!
Curious what the new engine improvements look like too as it can already look nice using the various source ports like EDuke.
