Gaming Legend Miner Willy Returning in Super Smash Brothers Switch

With 58 characters included in the Wii U version of Super Smash Brothers, there's only so many gaming legends that haven't had their turn in the iconic fighter yet. However, Nintendo love to cross the platform and genre divide, so the first of the new characters to be included in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been announced.

Harking back to the ZX Spectrum in the eighties, Miner Willy was the star of the games Manic Miner and Jet Set Willy, regarded by many as two of the greatest platform games ever, and ported to more systems in the 80s than Skyrim is these days.

He'll be in good company, with 80s legends Pac-Man, MegaMan and Game and Watch Man already in the game. Perhaps from the same era, we might see Dizzy appear next? He's already got boxing gloves on so he's ready to fight. We can only hope.
