gamescom 2024: Masters of Albion
Peter Molyneux has been working on something for three years, and it is finally time for him to showcase it! In the video shared above, you can see a quick two-minute interview between him and Geoff Keighley, where you can learn about the self-funded elements and where he got the inspiration for the title overall.
Play as the God of a town in Albion, where you'll customise everything you can about it: your residents, the food they eat, the clothes, their weapons, the homes they live in. The customisation is showcased front and centre in the trailer, where you can cook, control the villagers, and even customise the buildings with hilarious physics that feel almost VR-like.
At night, it'll be your job to defend them as they engage in battle to defend the town from fearsome creatures, and you can join them! Take control of the Hero of the story in a third-person perspective and fight against the creatures of Albion... and when things get hairy, yet your hero across the board and kill the stragglers with godlike powers from raining down meteors to fireballs and lightning strikes. Survive the night, continue your expansion, and prepare your hero for battle with customised weapons!
The trailer has received some controversy due to the inclusion of Peter Molyneux, so time will tell what will come of Masters of Albion. In the meantime, if you're interested in the experience, make sure you wishlist it on Steam and stay up-to-date with all of the newest updates coming your way!
