gamescom 2024: Marvel Rivals

NetEase Games' Marvel Rivals was recently announced and has already lived a tumultuous development cycle. From controversies to praises being sung, the Overwatch-like Marvel-based shooter is a highly anticipated title, with over 100,000 followers already looking forward to the release.

The gamescom 2024 trailer gave us an impressive look at a lot of things coming to the game. First of all, upon release, the game will be free-to-play, and all heroes will be unlocked, giving you the opportunity to try everyone. Though, that wasn't the only thing up the trailer's sleeve, as we also got to see an extensive look at newcomers Captain America and Bucky Barnes in combat, and an impressive roster of characters, with 24 total ones announced in the final image revealed. And, of course, a special highlight to Jeff the Land Shark, because who doesn't love Jeff?

Finally, Marvel Rivals officially has a release date. You can expect to wage war against Doctor Doom on the 6th of December of this year (2024) on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
