Destiny 2 is a first-person shooter MMO made by Bungie that originally released in 2017 and was made free-to-play in 2019. The game’s first saga, Light and Darkness, covers the events of the entire game so far, all previous expansions, and the next three expansions for the game.
Despite The Final Shape being the end of the Light and Darkness saga, Bungie made it clear during their showcase that Destiny 2 itself was not over. “The Light and Darkness saga will end, but make no mistake, Destiny 2 will not,” said Adam Grantham, Narrative Director at Bungie.
