Chapter 3
"Can you smell darkness?" thought Rasher as he came around, because as well as not being able to see anything, he could definitely smell the darkness surrounding him. He knew that even if he wasn't wearing the blindfold, he wouldn't be able to see anything. He noticed another smell that he was certain was his former breakfast, now solidifying in his tighty whiteys. He suddenly realised however that his focus on smell had distracted him from sound, as he noted the soft squeak of wheelchair tyres on concrete.
"Ah, welcome back my old friend" came the familiar voice in the darkness. Rasher's blindfold was ripped off, confirming his suspicion about the absence of light. The glowing eyes of his nemesis being the only source of illumination piercing through the blackness. "It's been a long time" snarled Platinum with a tone clearly not in the mood for pleasantries. "Perhaps we ought to get reacquainted. How about a drink?"
Before he even had time to respond, Rasher felt the glass pressed to his lips. He was desperately thirsty so gulped down the viscous liquid inside. He gagged. There was a strong taste of iron, with just a hint of Percy pepper and Sally Salt. It wasn't a drink, it was celebrity chef Ainsley Harriot. "You're a monster" screamed Rasher. "Yes. I'm a monster" responded Platinum. "And you know why I'm a monster? Because of you. Because of what you made me drink. How does it feel to taste my retribution? Now drink it all or there will be far worse consequences"
Rasher quietly sobbed between sips of the former celebrity chef Ainsley Harriot.
