Gameforge Establish New Division

Gameforge, a provider of free-to-play and MMO games for European regions, has created a new Games Division with an increased focus on the Company’s strategic expansion into North American publishing. The new Games Division will unify and streamline internal and external development teams and will be run by Tim Campbell, who has been named Senior Vice President, Games.

Campbell brings more than 15 years of experience working in top positions within the games industry, including posts at industry leaders such as THQ, SEGA and Atari. Campbell has been a part of Gameforge since 2010, and has been a member of the Executive Board since 2014.

“Gameforge has led the field in the Free-to-Play market over the years – but it is an increasingly competitive market with a lot of established studios and publishers who have now recognised the advantages of the model and are now trying to gain a foothold in this sector,” Campbell said. “Gameforge needs to constantly leverage our extensive experience and talent and transfer it to new markets and platforms. The new Games Division will give our talented teams the support and structure to thrive, grow and dominate our chosen sectors and genres. This is an exciting time to be at Gameforge.”
