Galactic Civilizations IV Release Trailer

Galactic Civilizations IV's release date has been announced. For those that don't know of it, the game is a strategy game where players get to explore and colonise the galaxy. It features:

• Option to set the opponent's difficulty and technological advancement to their liking.
• Players will be able to invent new technologies to advance their colonies.
• Recruit and mentor citizens, all with their own strengths and weaknesses.
• Shape their government by choosing which citizens to put in position of power.
• Complete missions and events to understand the ancient history of the galaxy.
• Citizens have individual approval ratings and players must keep them satisfied, as a disloyal and unhappy governor may take everything and start their own empire.
• The game's story will change according to which characters get recruited and how their backstories manifest.
• A Core Worlds system has been implemented to reduce the micromanagement, allowing players to conquer and colonise as many worlds as possible.
• Players will now be able to set and update policies and issue executive orders during gameplay.

Furthermore, the game offers prestige points now, which players will need a certain total of to win the game. This was implemented to cut down the endgame grind and allow the story to reach a more interesting conclusion.
