Future Of Play Direct 2022: Indigenous Cybernoir Detective Game Hill Agency: PURITYdecay Revealed
Hill Agency: PURITYdecay is the winner of the 2022 Ubisoft Toronto Indie Series and developer Achimostawinan Games is proud to announce the agency is open for business. Hill Agency is an exploration heavy, detective game, that is narrative-driven and requires you to use your brain to solve the mystery, no hints or help from the game, you may not be on the right path, but sharpen your senses and trust your instincts. Interview witnesses, find potential suspects, and search your surroundings to make your accusation and take down the correct criminal. This is a post-apocalyptic whodunit unlike any you have seen before is coming to PC on the 31st of August, with a demo being available during Steam Next Fest.
In this post-apocalyptic future, society has split into two separate groups, the working class who earn their living on The Ground, and the rich and privileged Elites who live in The Risen City and look down on the working class from their towering balconies. Risen City is a place of no concerns, technological advances, and a life of freedom. Or so they are told.
The game starts with you in the neon-lit city of Akâmaskiy located on The Ground. The skyline is full of brightly coloured signs shown in the Cree language. You play as detective Meygeen Hill and follow her as she solves mysteries in her Indigenous city and discovers the threads that link Akâmaskiy and The Risen City. Be cautious of the lady from the upper districts that knocks on your door with a case that seems simple, Meygeen’s life will be forever changed.
