During the Future Games Show, we got a three-minute video named the Indie Elevator Pitch! In here, four different developers speak about their upcoming games, pitching them to you in a quick manner for you to decide whether you're interested in checking them out or not! For this volume, we got to look at SCHiM, World's Worst Handyman, Judero, and Hermit and Pig! SCHiM

SCHiM is an upcoming 3D platformer where players will hop from shadow to shadow in a lively and stlised environment! Coming to us by developers Ewoud van der Werf, and Nils Slijkerman and puiblisher Extra Nice and PLAYISM, the game centres around a schim — which is the soul or spirit of an object, thing, or living being — who got separated from their human too soon. Now, it's our job to help them get back!

World's Worst Handyman

Developed by Baby Lumberjack, the World’s Worst Handyman is a stealth comedy game where everything that can go wrong does inevitably go wrong! You’ll take on the role of Doug, an unskilled handyman trying to save his local animal shelter.

You might be wondering what kinds of obstacles a handyman can run into, and it turns out, there are plenty. Whether you have angry residents or laser-wielding cats on your tail, you’ll need to master the art of stealth, learning how to blend in and keep it cool.

Judero

Experience Scottish folk lore in this very unique, eccentric action-adventure game rendered using physical, handmade objects. Follow Judero as he explores the handcrafted environments, meets interesting characters, and uncovers mysteries of the world. While adventuring you will engage in snappy combat with a variety of grotesque enemies or possess them to solve puzzles.

Hermit and Pig

Tonight at Future Games Show 2024, we saw the world premiere of Hermit and Pig, a story about a reclusive old man and his truffle-collecting pig. Throughout the game, they find themselves caught up in a conspiracy involving evil corporations, angry animals, hungry villagers, cultist weirdos, and a mythical giant mushroom.

In Hermit and Pig, you’ll have to learn to defend yourself from the enraged animals and learn to cope with your crippling social anxiety. Plus, you should find out whether you should eat every mushroom you find or not.
